New Section! It was either Cheap&Chic or The Clone War. By now, you can figure out what its going to be about. Sometimes we fall in love with the last it bag or any other it-thing we desperately need and a) we cant afford it b) if we can afford it, we don't want to spend that much in something that will be outdated by next season. Because of that, we should be grateful for fast fashion retailers, that might not be as exclusive, but equally effective. ¡Nueva Sección! Pensaba llamarla Cheap&Chip o la Guerra de los Clones, así que ya os hacéis a la idea de que va a tratar. Todas nos hemos enamorado alguna vez del it-bag del momento o de cualquier otra cosa-it que necesitamos desesperadamente pero a) no nos llega b) nos llega, pero no queremos gastar tanto en algo que la próxima temporada estará pasado. Por ello, deberíamos estar agradecidas por las cadenas de moda, que quizás no sean tan exclusivas pero son igualmente efectivas.

I'm opening this section with Isabel Marant, that is still one of the most imitated season after season. This time, her burgundy leather pants make a splash. You can get away with them for 1700€ or less than 50€ if you pick a similar pair in Zara or Stradivarius. They are half way between leather pants and vinyl leggings, they have some kind of varnish effect. I got myself the pair from Stradivarius,the touch is very nice, they feel soft and not that plastic touch you get sometimes. I love the fit but they might be too tight for some people. Abrimos con Isabel Marant, de las más copiadas temporada sí y temporada también. Esta vez, son sus pantalones de piel burdeos los que causan sensación. Pueden ser tuyos por 1700 € o menos de 50€ por cortesía de Amancio. De Pablo, perdón. Tienen efecto barnizado, están a medio camino entre los pantalones de piel y los leggins de vinilo de la temporada pasada. Yo me he comprado los de Stradivarius, y os digo que el tacto es genial, son suaves no te dan esa sensación plasticosa, aunque pueden quedar demasiado apretados -eso al gusto de cada uno- De los de Zara puedo decir poco porque no los encontré.

More Marant. The fringe boots can be found in Zara and Stradivarius as well. If you are looking for an almost perfect clone, id suggest Stradivarius but if you just want a pair of inspired boots, go with Zara.

Im starting to feel excited about winter stuff! Here is the new look book from H&M featured by familiar faces in the swedish company, Sasha, Frida and Karlie. This fall the minimalism clothing will continue as well as camel tones. Even tho I'm not ready yet to face the fact they might be back, elephant pants will likely get some prominence among stores this season. Have a look at the cute hats, gloves and coat/cape -not the largest one which I doubt is flattering for anyone- I am hoping to see some more shoes soon because these are all disappointing. Frida's shoes reminds of Prada a lot. What I loved the most? Karlie's orange blouse, Frida's white dress. I also had the chance to have a look at the last pieces of jewelry and they look ah-mazing!!! Ya empiezo a tener entusiasmo por las cositas de invierno! Aquí os dejo el nuevo lookbook de H&M, protagonizado por caras conocidas en la casa sueca, Sasha, Frida y Karlie. Este invierno continuamos con el minimalismo y los tonos camel. Aunque aún no este preparada para asumir que podrían estar de vuelta, los pantalones de pata de elefante probablemente adquieran protagonismo en las tiendas esta temporada. Echad un vistazo a los gorros, guantes y el abrigo/capa, monísimos -excepto el largo, que dudo que le siente bien a nadie- Espero que podamos ver más calzado porque estos son todos un poco decepcionantes. Los de Frida recuerdan mucho a Prada. ¿Y lo que más me ha gustado? La blusa naranja de Karlie, el vestido blanco de Frida. También tuve la oportunidad de ojear la bisutería de este año y tiene una pinta estupenda!!

Clutches have been on scene for quite a long time -if they ever left- but there a few trends to keep in mind this season. Thanks to Phoebe Philo, Céline hit the spot and every bag from la maison became a desired target or an it-bag. We weren't even over with the boston tote fever -was that before or after the box bag fever?- when the clutch pouch started to be seen in every editor or fashionista hands. After that, we didn't have to wait much for affordable options from Asos or Zara. In fact I got myself the two tone leather clutch from Zara. And yes, Mrs Philo is also the one to blame for the two tones trend. Los clutches llevan entre nosotras bastante tiempo -si es que alguna vez se fueron- pero esta temporada hay que tener en mente unas cuantas tendencias a seguir. Gracias a Phoebe Philo, Céline da en el clavo y cada bolso de la maison se convierte así en objeto de deseo o en el it-bag del momento. Cuando aun no nos habíamos recuperado de la fiebre del boston tote -que no se si fue antes o despues de la del box bag- comienza a verse en manos de editorias y fashionistas del mundillo en general el clutch tipo estuche. Después de eso, no hubo que esperar demasiado a las alternativas asequibles de Zara o Asos. De hecho, yo me hice con el mio de Zara, en piel y dos tonos. Y sí, la señora Philo también es culpable de esto de los dos tonos.

I confess oversized clutches are my favourite ones! I'm not sure who's the one to blame, but I remember seeing them a lot in SATC -specially Samantha- and always loved them since then. There is a gorgeous one in Asos -I've also seen it in turquoise and its even more fabulous- and for higher budgets, Carrie's is an old Prada. Confieso que mis favoritos son los oversized. No estoy segura de a quien culpar en este caso, pero yo recuerdo verlos mucho en Sexo en NY -sobre todo a Samantha- y me encantan desde entonces. En Asos encontramos uno precioso -lo he visto en turquesa y es más genial aún- y para los presupuestos más elevados el de Carrie es un antiguo Prada.

This summer, keep in mind two words before grabbing your pair of sunnies: cat eye and tortoise! Stick to them so you can't go wrong. Fashion editor Taylor Tomasi is always seen with her cat eyes sunglasses and Olivia Palermo is a fan of tortoise and retro style, but nothing suits her better than Dior Zeli. Totally in for the summer! Este verano ten presente dos palabras antes de hacerte con tu par de gafas: cay eye -lo siento, ojos de gato suena horrible en español- y concha. Es casi imposible equivocarse si te ciñes a ellas. La editora de moda Taylor Tomasi siempre es vista con sus múltiples modelos cat eye y Olivia Palermo es muy fan de las de concha y estilo retro, aunque nada le sienta mejor que sus Dior Zeli. Muy a la moda este verano!

Like cat eye shape, other retro styles are back, e.g rounded sunglasses. Mary Kate has been spotted with them so many times, as a matter of fact the Olsen twins designed a few models for their own collection, The Row. But they werent left alone, models at DVF or Proenza Schouler strutted their walk down the runway with cool round sunglasses as well. Al igual que las cat eye, otros estilos retro vuelven a llevarse, como por ejemplo las gafas redondas. A Mary Kate la hemos visto con ellas miles de veces, tanto es así que las gemelas las han incluído en su propia colección, The Row. Pero no fueron las únicas, las modelos de DVF o Proenza Schouler también desfilaron con ellas.

Aviator style is not my cup of tea, but looks like they refuse to go so its still a safe option. There is a wide world beyond Ray-ban, indeed tones of designers have their own version of the classic. Las de aviador no son mis favoritas, pero parece que se niegan a desaparecer así que siguen siendo una opción segura. Hay todo un mundo más allá de las Ray ban, de hecho montones de diseñadores tienen su propia versión del clásico.

If you really want to stand out, forget about aviator and jump into the last trend, baroque. Celebs, bloggers and fashion insiders love them and Miuccia is the one to blame. Its a bit too much for me and i dont think we'll be seeing them much anyway. Si realmente lo que quieres es destacar, olvídate del modelo aviador, y pasa a la última tendencia, el barroco. Famosas, bloggers y fashionistas las adoran y por supuesto la culpa es de Miuccia. Aunque son un poco demasiado para mí y no creo que tengan mucho auge a pie de calle.

And last but not least in this little trend report, transparent and bright color. See through sunglasses are available in many stores and by many designers, but like baroque I havent seen people wearing them at all. I do like them tho, in fact I own the Chanel model, just not transparent -well in havana and beige color, maybe that doesn't count-. However color sunglasses aren't newbies in the scene, wayfarers have been spotted for a while almost everywhere, but if you are tired of ray-ban, YSL or Versace are good options to consider. Y por último pero no por ello menos importante en nuestro pequeño sumario de tendencias, transparencia y colores fuertes. Las gafas trasparentes están a la venta en muchas tiendas (Mango, Oysho, etc) y de muy diferentes diseñadores, pero al igual que las barrocas no las he visto por ahí ni lo más mínimo. Sin embargo a mi me gustan, de hecho tengo el modelo de Chanel -bueno igual me he colado un poco porque las mías son en havana y beige-. No obstante, las de color no son nada nuevo, las wayfarers las hemos visto en todas partes hasta decir basta, así que si estás cansada de Ray ban -opción mas que probable-, YSL y Versace son alternativas a tener en cuenta.

New section! Who wore it best? Olivia Palermo, new yorker socialite showed up in Paris Fashion Week with this tulip dress, courtesy of Zara, with Charlottle Olympia shoes, feather bag and CC Skye spiked bracelets -that i've been in love with for ages- while former Harper's Bazaar Russia editor Miroslava Duma had already been spotted several times with the same dress. This time with oversize sunglasses and Marc Jacobs shoes. So like uncle Sam would say, I want you! ... to vote of course! By the way, no doubt she is next in my Voguettes' list. ¡Nueva sección! ¿Quién lo lleva mejor? Olivia Palermo, socialite neoyorquina, aparecía en la semana de la moda parisina con este vestido, cortesía de Amancio, zapatos de Charlotte Olympia, bolso de plumas y brazaletes de CC Skye -de los cuales llevo un tiempo enamorada- mientras que la antigua editora de la edición rusa de Harper's Baazar ya había sido vista varias veces con el mismo vestido. En este caso, con gafas oversize y zapatos de Marc Jacobs. Así que como si estuviéramos en plena campaña electoral, a votar todo el mundo! Por cierto, la siguiente en mi sección de Voguettes es la Duma sin duda, muy de Amancio y de Zara ella que lo sepáis.

I dont know how is it like in the rest of Europe, but I am melting under 40ºC here. However, fashion industry couldn't care less, they run faster -6 months indeed- and its time for winter stuff! Topshop already want us to think of fur coats, boots and leather pencil skirts. Here is a little preview of what we might be wearing in a couple of months. No se como andarán por el resto de Europa, pero yo me estoy derritiendo a 40ºC en el sur. Sin embargo, a esta industria le importa poco o nada, ellos van rápido -de hecho nos llevan seis meses de ventaja- y ya es tiempo para las cositas de invierno! Topshop quiere que vayamos pensando ya en abrigos de pelo, botas y faldas lápiz de piel. Aquí os dejo un pequeño adelanto de lo que podríamos estar llevando en de un par de meses.

The mustard coat is tdf, so is the mustard clutch. Indeed I love everything from the Prim&polished section, except that hideous dog sweater. Last year we already saw a glimpse of the yeti look, thanks to uncle Karl. It didn't work then, I dont know what makes them think it will this year.... in fuchsia. Keep an eye on those flat ankle boots, known as chelsea boots, as they seem promising for next season. So what do you think of the new collection and whats coming up for next season? El año pasado ya vislumbramos un poco de ese look yeti gracias al tio Karl. No funcionó entonces y no se que les hace pensar que va a funcionar ahora.... en fucsia. No le quiteis el ojo de encima a esas botas planas a la altura del tobillo, botas chelsea las llaman, ya que figuran como futura tendencia de la temporada. ¿Qué os parece la nueva colección y lo que se avecina para la próxima temporada?

From the streets of Paris and Milan, worn by models and fashionistas who caught the eye of street style photographers, to reality show girls from L.A, everybody is tempted by long meters of skirts and dresses. Also known as the maxi dress or maxi skirt, they still stand as a chic and comfortable -but-not-always-safe- option summer after summer. Desde las calles de París y Milán, llevados por modelos y fashionistas que captan la atención de fotógrafos de streetstyle hasta chicas de reality televisivo de Los Angeles, todo el mundo es tentado por metros y metros de vestidos y faldas. También conocidos como los maxi vestidos o maxi faldas, se mantienen como una opción chic, cómoda aunque-no-siempre-segura- verano tras verano.

Sometimes there might be an inner dilemma about the length of your dress/skirt and your own. Do they suit short people? I think its a matter of proportions. Im gonna try to make my point, just have a look at the pictures. Ashley Olsen (around 5'1) picked up a beautiful lady look, but the length of the skirt makes her looks petite because the cut ends right in her shin. On the other hand, Olivia Palermo, who is medium size (around 5'4) but always looks so tall. Palermo's skirts almost cover her feet instead of making a cut in the leg. It isn't about heels neither, since Palermo wears flats a lot. And even tho Kate Bosworth (5'5) isn't as tall as super models, she picked up very long skirts to make her look miles taller. En ocasiones puede haber cierta duda acerca de la longitud de un vestido y la tuya propia. ¿Le quedan bien a la gente más bajita? En mi opinión es cuestión de proporciones. Me explico, echadle un vistazo a las dos fotos de abajo. Ashley Olsen (mide un poquito más de 1'5m) se decanta por un lady look precioso, pero la medida de su falda la empequeñece por acabar justo a la altura de la espinilla. Por el otro lado, Olivia Palermo que tiene una altura media (1'65m) pero siempre parece altísima. La falda de Palermo le cubre casi hasta los pies en lugar de cortarse en mitad de la pierna. Tampoco es cuestión de enfudarse unos taconazos, Olivia lleva bailarinas muchísimas veces. Aunque Kate Bosworth (1'68m) no sea tan alta como una super modelo, también escoge una falda muy larga que la hace parecer increíblemente más alta.

In Gossip Girl, they are aware of Blake's potential with maxi dresses and thats why they never miss a chance to make Serena wear one. They even dare with straight pants and she looks fabulous. Blake (5'10'') is the perfect example of tall girls with maxi dress. En Gossip Girl son conscientes del potencial de Blake Lively para los maxi vestidos y por ello nunca pierden la opourtunidad de colocarle uno a Serena. Hasta se atreven con pantalones de corte recto y cintura alta y siempre esta fabulosa. Blake (1'77m) es el perfecto ejemplo de chica super alta con maxi vestido.

Cruise, resort... does anyone really keep an eye on these collections? They come up in june but I have the feeling the industry goes on vacation as well, at least till haute couture in july, because they don't seem to make a fuss at all. I must admit I never pay much attention to them -except for Chanel, that Ive been following since 2008- but they are a great inspiration for the summer days, whether you actually go on a cruise or not. Here is a selection of my favorite ones from this year. Cruise, resort, crucero... ¿alguien le presta alguna atención a estas colecciones? Aparecen en junio pero tengo el presentimiento de que la industria se va de vacaciones, al menos hasta la semana de alta costura en julio, porque no parece que causen ninguna sensación. Yo admito que tampoco me molesto en ojearlas -excepto Chanel que sigo religiosamente desde 2008- pero hay que decir que son una magnífica fuente de inspiración para el verano, te vayas o no de crucero. Aquí os dejo una selección de mis favoritos de este año.

I started this blog back in 2009. That beautiful editorial of Sasha.... yes, she was all wrapped in bags, Dior bags but paper bags afterall still beautiful tho. Today I couldn't help to wonder.... how did I lose my enthusiasm for blogging? Living in Paris should have been such a boost, but instead I've been so busy since then I've hardly had anytime to come up and post from time to time like I used to. So I've decided to take it seriously and find time to post like in the old days, i.e daily or almost daily. Now with a bunch of new ideas and a whole new attitude, lets see how it goes. Empecé este blog allá por el 2009. Aquella editorial preciosa de Saha... envuelta en bolsas, bolsas de Dior pero bolsas de papel al fin y al cabo y seguía siendo preciosa. Hoy me ha dado por preguntarme, ¿en qué momento perdí el entusiasmo por mi blog? Vivir en París debería haber sido un impulso pero en lugar de eso he estado tan liada que no he tenido tiempo de postear nada de cuando en cuando como solía hacer. Así que he decidido volver a tomármelo en serio y sacar tiempo de donde sea para volver a postear como en los viejos tiempos, o sea todos los dias o casi todos. Ahora con ideas nuevas y actitud renovada, a ver como sale.

Not so many posts ago I mentioned that my Chanel updates on make-up weren't my fav... well the sooner you say it, the sooner you have to take back what you said. On 1st feb I got something pretty interesting, the campaign of their last make up collection, and Le Vernis totally caught my eye and my heart. It is 513 Black Pearl. Maybe I got a bit obsessed but I would swear I saw Serena (from GG) wearing in one of the latests episodes. Of course I was fast and went to get mine and now Im sooooo in love with it. You can't really tell if it is grey or kinda green, but we all should agree its gorgeous. On a different note, my lovely boyfriend got me a ring I've been after for a while now, it belongs to Bimba&Lola new collection. Even tho, I wanted the gold tone with blue stones, he got me a different colour. It happens that it goes so great with the nail polish that Im not willing to ex-change my ring for the one I wanted in first place. Here are some pictures I took myself of my lastest little two obsessions. The nail polish is around 20€ (ang higher, depend where you get it) and the ring is 28€ (if you are in Spain but higher in France I guess).

Hace no muchos posts, mencionaba que las actualizaciones de Chanel de maquijalle no eran de mis favoritas, pues bien parece que antes lo digo, antes me toca echarme atrás. El 1 de febrero recibí algo bastante interesante, la última campaña de maquillaje, y Le Vernis captó toda mi atención y me robó el corazón. Se trata del Black Pearl 513. Quizás me haya obsesionado un poco, pero hasta juraría haberselo visto Serena (de GG) en uno de los últimos capítulos. Por supuesto, fui rauda y veloz a por el mio y ahora se ha convertido casi en una historia de amor. Realmente no se decir si es gris o verdoso, pero creo que todos estamos de acuerdo en que es un color precioso. Por otro lado, en San Valentin mi novio me regalo un anillo de la nueva colección de Bimba&Lola, ya que llevaba un tiempo detrás de él. Aunque el que yo quería en un primer momento era la versión dorada con piedras azules, resulta que queda tan bien con el esmalte que ya no estoy dispuesta a cambiarlo. Aquí os dejo unas fotos de mis dos pequeñas obsesiones del momento. El esmalte cuesta alredor de unos 20€ (varía según el sitio) y el anillo 28€ si no recuerdo mal de cuando lo buscaba en la web.

Tonight I was watching the last episode of Gossip Girl and once again I couldn't help to notice that piece hanging on the wall at Lily's apartment. Its probably familiar to you too if you are a fan of the show. Esta noche, viendo el último capítulo de Gossip Girl, una vez más ese cuadro colgado en el apartamento de Lily me llama la atención. Probablemente te resulte familiar a ti también si sigues la serie.

So I just did what I've been meant to do since the Van Der Woodsen family moved to their 994 Fifth Avenue penthouse, google the curious and chic picture standing on their hall. And here is what I got. The picture refers to a sculpture located near Marfa, in Texas. It is a small building that resembles a Prada store. Designed in 2005 by artists Elmgreen and Dragset. The six handbags and 20 right footed shoes inside are not to be sold, indeed you can not access inside, it is just an sculpture in the middle of nowhere, the contrast of a natural landscape and the minimal luxury of Prada. The artists mean for the building not to be repaid and integrate with the environment. El cuadro hace referencia a una escultura situada cerca de Marfa, en Texas. Diseñado en 2005 por Elmgreen y Dragset, es un edificio pequeño, parecido a una tienda de Prada. Los 6 bolsos y los 20 zapatos (del pie derecho) que se encuentran en su interior no se venden, de hecho ni siquiera se puede acceder al interior. Es simplemente una escultura en medio de la nada, el contraste entre un paisaje natural y el lujo de Prada. Los artistas pretendían que el edificio nunca fuese reparado y que con el paso del tiempo se integrara en el entorno.

Curious data, the building was vandalized and all the shoes and bags were stolen. As an extra gift they painted the word "Dumb" in the walls. On a different note, you might find hundreds of business cards that people left under rocks around the place. Datos curiosos, el edificio fue destrozado y robaron todos los bolsos y zapatos. Como regalito extra, pintaron con spray la palabra "Tonto" en los muros. Por otra parte, te puedes encontrar cientos de tarjetas de negocio debajo de las piedras en los alrededores del lugar.

Everyone in fashion drinks champagne all day

The classic fashion exposé opens at a party/backstage at a fashion show, with the sound of champagne corks popping and a cast of waiters, who are always handsome and who for some reason always glide rather than walk across a room. It is true that nobody in fashion is remotely surprised to be offered a glass of champagne on arrival at a fashion show at 10.30am - but then toast makes you fat, and porridge is hardly glam, so what else to have for breakfast? The truth is that fashion people love to hold a champagne flute because, like a good pair of sunglasses, it is an accessory that always makes you look great in photographs; very few really drink that much. And frankly, when the rest of the nation is binge-drinking itself to a guttery death on blueberry-flavoured alcopops, the odd pre-lunch Moët is surely nothing to get one's Damaris knickers in a twist about.

Everyone is really thin

Like, duh! Of course they are. Forget this season's colours, forget the designers and their muses - thinness is the whole point of fashion. Everyone in the industry thinks a size 12 is fat. It is important to understand this, otherwise you'll wind up fat, poor, dressed in Marni and wondering why the world does not perceive you as a style icon. The industry is divided into two camps on the thinness issue. One side, made up mostly of American glossy magazine journalists, is thinner than the catwalk models - which, if you've ever seen a catwalk model, you'll understand is no mean feat. The other side - ranks proudly swelled by newspaper journalists from around the globe - are fat, poor, dressed in Marni, and wondering why the world does not perceive them as style icons.

Everyone talks nonsense

Hands up: this is a pretty fair criticism. A quick flick through any pile of "explanatory" notes, helpfully provided at some fashion shows, throws up a stream of fashionable inanity, such as this from Valentino: "Fashion today has no precise reference points. It is a collage of souvenirs expressed in the moments of a real woman's life that she uses to continuously update her personal style." Thrown into the mix are a heavy dose of the self-consciously obtuse (Roland Mouret, for instance, finding inspiration in "Hitchcock's vision of the dynamic between a man and a woman, Francis Bacon's twisting of perception, and the mysticism of the Scottish lochs") and, to leaven the dough, always a good sprinkling of the plain old crazy. At the most recent shows, Vanessa Bruno was "inspired by the emotions from lost decadence of art nouveau ... her journey takes us to a cross road universe of Indian veiled mystique and sun maidens of the haight ashbury sixties". [sic] o.0

The men are gay or sleazy; either way, they hate women

I would sooner any daughter of mine worked as a shark-wrestler than a model - safer, better conversation, and with superior long-term career prospects. But any industry that employs a workforce of very beautiful girls, most of whom are relocated to a foreign metropolis in their mid-teens, inexperienced and insecure, will attract a swarm of exploitative men: bees to honey is, I believe, the polite way of phrasing this phenomenon. There is no need for undue alarm at this vicious parasite: "modelisers", as they are known, are not a threat to the normal female populace, being easily recognisable by their velvet jackets, white jeans, transatlantic accents (even when they come from Guildford) and, usually, their below-average height, a fact they try to disguise by wearing lifts in their shoes. (This is why modelisers wear such bad shoes.) As for the gay men, they don't hate women: they just can't stand icky fat bits that obscure the divine lines of the accordion pleats.

Some say John Galliano hates women... Not true. Whoever designer the pairs below...

Everyone is corrupt and obsessed with freebies

Once upon a time, fashion PRs kept editors sweet with Veuve-drenched lunches at Le Caprice. Now that lunch means 45 minutes over grilled fish and sparkling water, with maybe a side order of spinach on a Friday, the money is spent on "gifting" - the sending of lavish presents. Costs about the same, and - a recurring theme - is less fattening. Key freebies are worn, like military decorations, on important occasions within the industry: one Italian label sends top editors the same bag on the same day during Milan fashion week. Because it is an exclusive gift, recipients will be seen toting it prominently, giving the label priceless free PR. You see, it's not really about the handbags - as in any industry, it's about status.

Fashion editors will scheme and backstab to sit in the front row

Shows are ruthlessly, unashamedly hierarchical. There is none of that round-table, we-all-make-an-important-contribution stuff popular in other industries: when you walk into a show, your name is written, for all to see, on a row that corresponds with how important you are felt to be at that moment. Naturally, those of a competitive bent take this to heart: it is considered normal for an editor to have her assistant note her seat numbers in a catwalk season, compare them with those given to a counterpart from another publication, and systematically lobby those designers at whose shows she feels she has been snubbed. It is, likewise, not unusual for an editor to refuse to attend a show unless a front-row seat is granted. Petty rivalry never goes out of fashion.

People in fashion are mad

There is no doubt that some in the industry - indeed, some very important people in the industry - have eccentricities that make Jennifer Lopez and her anticlockwise-stirred coffee look reasonable. One successful designer issued such strict guidelines on how his offices should look that an employee who wanted to use a favourite yellow pencil was required to courier a Polaroid of it to the designer's headquarters in Milan in order to request permission to have it on his desk. Mainly, though, eccentricity is worn for effect, like a Philip Treacy hat.

Not true. "Darling" is a bit old hat; so is "sweetie". But the new guard will call you "hon" within four minutes of meeting you. Whether or not they know your name doesn't matter - if they know the name of your handbag (Roxy, Edith, Priscilla), and they call you "hon", you're in.

They say 'fabulous' a lot

To understand why adjectives are so central to fashion, go backstage at the end of a show. You will witness a receiving line of well-wishers filing past the designer at lightning speed (they have another show to go to, after all). Each has five seconds to kiss and greet him or her. It is essential to sound excited without giving too much away: if you're an influential buyer who hated the collection but don't want to fall out with a designer, you might pronounce it "Charming!", kiss, move on, and return no calls. If you are a reporter who has not yet decided whether to slate the new look, you can call it "Beyond!" without anyone knowing whether this is good or bad.

Calling all shoe lovers! There is no winter without boots and this season they keep getting higher and higher. Get a pair over the knee or stick to the ankle boots, but this year medium ones are out of the scene. The male inspired flat shoes we could already walk in during spring can also stay. Bring back your classic stiletto heels and if you refuse to let your sandals go away, dare with socks. But as seen everywhere, the wedge shoes are definitely the key, so remember: rubber, wood and suede ¡Atención a todas las amantes de zapatos! No hay un invierno sin botas y esta temporada siguen subiendo y subiendo. Asegúrate de que tu par sea por encima de la rodilla o se quede a la altura de tobillo, las de media caña se quedan fuera de la pasarela. Last days of summer in the city for me. It feels like a countdown since in a week I'll land in Paris for a fresh start this course. Im spending most of my days in the beach, lying down or having long walks across the boulevard and I also enjoyed some sailing days. To be honest, it doesnt really matter what, but always near the beach and with my boy, probably the two I'll miss the most when Im gone. I find this amazing editorial so inspiring, peaceful but full of joy at the same time... and I can really relate to it.

Últimos dias de verano en la ciudad para mi. Parece una cuenta atrás ya que solo me queda una semana antes de aterrizar en París para comenzar un nuevo curso allí. Aprovecho el poco tiempo que me queda en la playa, de relax o de paseo y café en el paseo marítimo, aunque tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar unos días de barquito. Sinceramente, me da un poco igual lo que se haga mientras sea cerca del mar y de mi chico, que son probablemente los dos que más voy a extrañar cuando me vaya. Un precioso edito con el que identificarse estos días... tranquilo pero a la vez lleno de vida.

The drama is not that the aviator jacket is back, its not that it took over every magazine and blog either, the very big problem is which one to choose? Because you know you want one, you know its the must-have of this season and you know you might hurt someone if you dont get yours. Don't panic, the best thing about the it pieces of the seasons is that every single store makes its own version of it.

El problema no es que la chaqueta aviador haya vuelto, tampoco es que la chaqueta aviador se haya apoderado de todas y cada una de las revistas e incluso blogs, el verdadero problema es ¿con cuál me quedo? This morning, while I was having breakfast, I saw Alma Aguilar's spring summer show on tv and I remembered how amazing her collection inspired in the India was. I have less than a month of summer to enjoy and my inspiration to dress always come from the big international brands such Chloé, Givenchy etc, I guess like any other girl who likes fashion and catchs up with it. So I thought I should open my mind a bit and have a look again at the collections of the amazing spanish designers for a change and to inspire me for the rest of the month. I have to add Im very proud of my choices ^.^ Esta mañana, mientras desayunaba, estaban echando en la tele el desfile de Alma Aguilar de primavera verano y me vino a la mente lo maravillosa que era esa colección con aires de la India. Me queda menos de un mes de verano y creo que a todas la inspiración siempre nos viene -queramos o no- de las grandes firmas como Chloé o Givenchy entre otras muchas -Gracias a Amancio- Así que he pensado que por una vez podía volver a ojear las pasadas colecciones de primavera verano de nuestros diseñadores, que como talento no les falta, seguro que me da para inspirarme un poco más el resto del mes. Añado lo orgullosa que me siento de mis elecciones ^.^

Blouse + Shorts. This is probably my favourite look in summer. So comfortable and effortless chic. Blusa+Pantalón corto. Es probablemente mi look favorito en verano. Muy cómodo y sencillo, y aun así muy chic.

Floral Print. Something I dont see myself in -yet- but really trendy. It suits for long and short dresses aswell. Estampado floral. Algo en lo que todavía no me acostumbro a verme pero que se lleva mucho. Queda bien tanto en vestido largo como en el corto.

High waisted pants. I have obsession for them, specially for the long ones. The short pants are gorgeous if you have the right body, so retro. Pantalones de cintura alta. Tengo una ligera obsesión con ellos, especialmente con los largos. Los cortos creo que son ideales si tienes el cuerpo adecuado, muy retro.

Print+asymmetric, key words for the perfect dress this summer. Estampado+Asimétrico, las plabaras clave para el vestido perfecto este verano.

Colorful. Mix and win. Colorido. Mezcla y vencerás.

Bikinis go retro. Los bikinis se vuelven retro.

Minimalism. They were right when they said less is more. I love the jumpsuits. Minimalismo. No se equivocaban cuando dijeron que menos es más. Me encantan esos monos.

From nude to pale pink. There is a wide range of colours to explore. Desde el maquillaje al rosa palo. Hay una amplía gama de colores aun por explorar.

And yes.... more pants! Im in love with the bag btw. Si, más pantalones! Y me encanta ese bolso por cierto.

She keeps doing collaborations for UK Vogue frequently so more print work is a matter of time. NY se le ha quedado pequeño. Olivia Palermo se apodera ahora de Londres y nosotras encantadas! For the first time, I wont feel overwhelmed for trying on coats when its around 35ºC on the streets. Actually, Im looking forward to the fall collections so I can get some last-minute stuff before Im gone. Fall campaigns were already released, Ive been wanting to post some of them for a while now, but its been a bit hectic here Por primera ver, no me agobiaré probandome abrigos mientras en la calle nos asamos a 35ºC. Does anyone remember this quote? This is what lovely Karen (Amanda Seyfried) asked to Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) in Mean Girls. And how Cady felt is exactly what I feel when people assume I should be tanned just because 1. I live in the coast 2. It is summer. So what? What's happening to the world? It looks like is mandatory to get a tan in summer. FYI my skin (and some many other white skins around the world) repels the sun, no matter how many hours I spend lying down in the sand or by the pool side, which is something I like btw. So I can abuse and get burned to get that tan color everybody wish, or I can accept my whiteness and be happy with it, because there is nothing wrong with that. Personally I prefer the second option, besides the fact that the sun is so agressive and unhealthy for the skin. So girls, stop hiding your legs just because you're so white and learn from some of these people.

Y lo mismo que sintió Cady es lo mismo que siento yo cuando la gente asume que debería estar morena porque 1. Vivo en la costa 2. Es verano. Y? Ni que fuera obligatorio estar bronceada en verano. Para información de algunos, mi piel repele el sol, me puedo tirar 3 días panza arriba en la arena o en la piscina (lo cual me encanta por cierto) que poco se me va a pegar. Así que puedo abusar del sol y ponerme como una gamba -o un alemán en Benidorm- para coger ese bronceado que todo el mundo ansía o puedo aceptar mi blancura y vivir felizmente con ello. Me quedo con esta última, ya que el sol es bastante malo y agresivo, especialmente en pieles.... blancas -.-' ouch. Así que chicas, dejad de esconder las piernas porque estéis paliduchas y aprender un poco de estos de aquí abajo.

Gossip Girl also leaves us two examples of how beautiful you can be being as white as snow, specially for Michelle Trachtenberg, the bad ass who spice up every season finale in her role as Georgina Sparks. Leighton Meester aka Blair doesnt look as white as her, but i'm quite sure is due to her make up. You can appreciatte her real skin color mainly in candid pictures. Our Gossip Girls were already in Paris filming the 4th season... but hey, there are fashion shows, who would miss that? It looks like the Upper East Side moved to Paris -and a small pat of Brooklyn, although Palermo will always belong to Manhattan-. I'm moving to PARIS!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't be any happier when they finally confirmed I got a grant to study in one of the best business schools in Europe. Next september I'll be an official ESCE student :D and I'll be living in La Defense, the financial district of Paris... that means 10 minutes away to the fashion capital in the world!!!! On a different note, I want to apologise for the lack of entries in my blog, but I've been really busy with exams and a lot of personal stuff going on here. It wont happen again! We can back to fashion now ... Here is an editorial from the last issue of Vogue Paris, that I'll be able to buy myself soon :D ... and btw I want to dedicate this little post to the one and only anonimous comment this blog received once :)

Me mudo a PARIS!!!! No podía estar más contenta cuando me confirmaron que conseguí la beca para una de las mejores universidades de negocios. El próximo septiembre seré oficialmente una estudiante ESCE :D y viviré en el distrito financiero de Paris, La Defense... lo que significa estara 10 minutos en metro del centro de la capital de la moda. High waisted pants have been a must for a while. They are everywhere, but I bought mines on Zara a few weeks ago. I also got a nice blouse to match with it... but that was all I could think of. Just an outfit for such a great pants? No way. So Ive doing a litle bit of research to see all the chances my purchase have! Runway is always the first source, but streetstyle is the most inspiring. Here are the result of my personal research. In my opinion, they look better with heels, it goes perfect with Perfecto jacket for a casual look and even better with blazer for smart occasions!

Los pantalones de cintura alta son un must desde hace algún tiempo. Están por todas partes, de hecho Zara parece una granja de ellos, y obviamente los mios corren por cuenta de Amancio. Me los compré hace algunas semanas, con una blusa a juego... pero eso era todo lo que se me ocurría. ¿Un solo conjunto para unos pantalones tan geniales? Uhm no podía ser, así que he hecho una pequeña investigación. La pasarela es siempre el punto de partida, pero el streetstyle inspira bastante más. Aquí os dejo el resultado de mi búsqueda. En mi opinión, quedan mejor con tacón, van perfectos con una chaqueta Perfecto para un look mas casual y son incluso mejores con blazer para alguna ocasión mas elegante.

No doubt, I had to have the very first issue of Harper's Bazaar Spain last month. I read it the same night I got it and and love it. It was surprising to know there was already life before Vogue. Carmen Kass' editorial was amazing.... and the second issue seems so promising. Hopefully, they'll keep it up with Miss Roslyakova!

Sin lugar a duda, tenía que tener la primera edicion de Harper's Bazaar España el mes pasado. Lo leí del tirón el mismo día que me lo compré y me encantó. Fue sorpendrente saber que había vida antes de Vogue. El editorial de Carmen Kass creo que fue bastante bueno y el segundo número promete. Esperemos que mantengan el listón con Miss Roslyakova!

Mila Fashion Week FW2010

I reallllly dont know where to start. Milan FW has been a bit weird this year for me, I mean the shows I had big expectations for kinda let me down, while others I'd have had a quick look at, were actually surprising and superior. Im gonna try to sum it all quickly, as always from my non-proffesional fashion eye. Realmente no se por donde empezar. La semana de la moda de Milan ha sido rara este año, y por rara me refiero a que los desfiles en los que tenía más expectativas me han defraudado un poco, mientras que algunos a los que normalmente solo les echo un vistazo rápido, me han encantado y creo que han sido mejores. Voy a intentar hacer un resumen rápido, como siempre desde mi punto de vista.

Dolce&Gabbanna:
Lingerie inspiration stay, well-tailored jackets and 70 models strut their walk down the runway. Clap your hands for Domenico and Stefano.

La inspiración lencera persiste, chaquetas a medida y unas 70 modelos que se contonean en la pasarela. Aplauso para Domenico y Stefano

Versace:
So-so Donatella. Geometry and asymmetry, nice but SS was more exciting.
Así así con Donatella. Geometría y asimetría, no estuvo mal pero creo que nos entusiasmamos más con el de primavera.

Prada and Dsquared2:
There go my big dissapointments. I really had troubles picking one single outfit from Prada's show to include in the collage because I didnt like any. Must be because Im 20 and that collection doesnt exactly scream YOUTH! Can you tell the girl under the clothes is one of the sexiest ever? What you did to Alessandra Ambrosio Miuccia?! About Dean and Dan.... why you guys went for the vamp look? Camping was much more fun =(
Aquí van mis dos grandes desilusiones. Me costó y mucho elegir un solo look del desfile de Prada para poner en el collage, porque no me gustaba ninguno. Supongo que será porque tengo 20 y la colleción no grita juventud! precisamente. Por si alguien no se ha fijado, la chica debajo de ese montón de ropa es una de las más sexies del planeta, Alessandra Ambrosio. o.O Nada más que añadir. Respecto a Dean y Dan, el look vamp no me convence... el camping era mucho más divertido =(

Gucci:
Started cream, then gray and later some suede around. I like it. Get Frida's look: tailored pants & coats and fur-patched jackets, add some attitude and done. Empezó con tonos crema, luego gris y después un poco de ante. Me gusta. Consigue el look de Frida: Pantalones a medida & abrigos y chaquetas de piel a retales, añade un poco de caracter y lista.

Blumarine and Pucci:
At Blumarine we could see lots of leather, suede, and crystal studding. Perfect threesome. But I'll have to share my love for Molinari with Peter Dundas. He took the label somewhere.... kind of bohemian and lush and I freaking love it. Both Fabulous.
En Blumarine poduimos ver cuero, ante y tachuelitas de cristal. Un trio perfecto. Pero voy a tener que compartir mi amor por Molinari con Peter Dundas. Ha llevado la marca más allá... más bohemio y suntuoso, y me encanta. Fabulosos ambos.

Moschino Cheap & Chic:
They're celebratin' the company's new hotel in Milan's Viale Monte Grappa so the models represented different women who come out of the hotel. Ill recomend to watch the show, its always nice not to see blank models walking down the runway.
En Moschino estaban de celebración por la apertura de su nuevo hotel en Milan, así que las modelos representaban diferentes tipos de mujer saliendo del mismo. Os recomiendo que veais el desfile, siempre es agradable no ver a las modelos sin expresión alguna desfilando.

London Fashion Week FW2010

There is only one reason I keep an eye on London Fashion Week and it is called Prorsum, Burberry Prorsum. And this season, my expectations have been fulfilled, Ive found a little issue with the jackets though, which one to choose?

Solo hay una razón por la que me da por ojear la semana de la moda de Londres y se llama Prorsum, Burberry Prorsum. Y esta temporada mis expectativas se han cumplido, solo encontré un pequeño problemita.... con que chaqueta quedarse.

I dont have much to say about the other shows. Like Hadley Freeman from style quoted to claim that a 26-year-old designer has gone back to his roots would sound like describing a dress as vintage because you bought it last year. But Henry Holland came back to the slogan t-shirts that made him so talked about around 2006. Matthew Williamson's muse must have grown up because he opened the show with a tweed short jacket matching a dress... but when people were already thinking they were in the wrong show, the bright silk-lover showed us what he got us used to, more of the same. And just like in NY, more celebs clothing. This time was Sienna Miller and that other girl who's name Im not able to remember, let alone write correctly with Twenty8Twelve. Good thing about this? Using a celebrity as a designer is purely commercial, therefore clothes are pretty wearable. No tengo mucho más que decir del resto de desfiles. Tal y como apuntaba H. Freeman en style proclamar que un diseñador de 26 años ha vuelto a sus raíces sería como decir que un vestido es vintage porque lo compraste el año pasado. Pero Henry Holland ha vuelto a sus camisetas con eslogan que dieron tanto que hablar allá por 2006. La musa de Matthew Williamson se está haciendo mayor -que no vieja- porque abrió el desfile con una chaqueta de tweed a juego con un vestido. Y cuando la gente empezaba a preguntarse si se habrían equivocado de desfile, el amante de la seda y los colores brillantes nos enseñó aquello a lo que nos tiene acostumbrados, más de lo mismo. Al igual que en NY, más ropa de celebrities. En este caso Sienna Miller y esta otra chica, cuyo nombre no recuerdo y ni mucho menos puedo escribir, con Twenty8twelve -fácil fácil- Lo bueno de este tipo de colecciones es que son muy comerciales y por tanto la ropa es bastante ponible.

My non-professional fashion eye couldnt rescue much from Mrs Weestwood and Topshop Unique defined itself with its own soundtrack: Go wild in the country. Mi sentido de la moda no profesional no ha podido rescatar mucho de Vivienne Weestwood y Unique de Topshop se define por si solo con su banda sonora: Go wild in the country.

Isn't it great when you find a new store in your town? Well it was my mum, anyway we found a treasure... expensive and bad for any visa's health, but still a treasure. I got two gorgeous dresses, one by Tony Cohen and another one by Malene Birger. First one wasnt new for me because I know he has a show in New York Fashion Week, the second designer I had no idea of, but Ive been doing some research and I love it! Its an amazing brand, young, dynamic and really stylish. She also shows her stuff in Copenhagen Fashion Week. Here is what I got

Now my card is seriously damaged I have to come back to Zara. Good news? This season is still full of well-known designers clons. Bad news? Somebody thought the Chanel clogs would be great to copy aswell. Bad bad idea... I know I'll ended up trying them just to laugh about them, but I do hate them... and I feel a little bit like Carrie at SATC when Stanford says "She used to wear clogs when I met her" because I wore them too when I was like 14 ... but I digress, I think they are ugly, unconfortable and always seems a tacky shoe imo. What do you think CLOGS: FRIEND OR FOE?

Edit: I've just tried them at Zara and Ive fell in the changing room without even walking like literally... i were about to broke my ankle... FOE FOE FOE! In my defense I have to say Im pretty good walkign with heels.

Lets get to the point. There hasnt been much of vip in the front row, but who cares? The important ones were on the runway! Our spanish girls, Marina Perez and Sheila Márquez and our boy, Jon Kortajarena rocked the runway with international models such as Iris Strubegger -new Tisci's muse, imo -, Eniko Mihalik or Vincent Lacrocq. Ana Locking was my favourite one, so bright and colorful. Andrés Sardá in charge of the sexy touch, as always and Roberto Verino reminded me of big shows in Paris, great scene and great models. However it was José Miró who got the huge applause.

Vamos al grano. No había mucho vip suelto por el front row, pero ¿a quién le importa? Este año hemos contando con modelos de lujo. Nuestras chicas, Marina Perez y Sheila Márquez, y nuestro J. Kortajarena brillaron en la pasarela con estrellas internacionales como Iris Strubegger -Musa de Tisci-, Eniko Mihalik o Vincent Lacrocq. Ana Locking fue mi favorita. No se aprecia en esta foto, pero el maquillaje de Alvarado imitando gafas de aviador me encantó. Pudimos ver a Gala González desfilando para la madre de su amiga, en Lydia Delgado. También pudimos ver el vestido que lució Paz Vega en los goya, en la impecable colección de Hannibal Laguna.

Above: two awesome collections that deserve a collage by theirselves. Im amazed with Proenza's prints and still a bit shocked about those velvet (?) sunglasses of Wang.
Below: a mix of looks that I loved straight from the new yorker runway. I have to say Hervé Leger dresses are gorgeous, Vera Wang is so charming, really liked Jil Stuart... and celebrities collections were a bit dissapointing, as well as Marc. I was expecting a bit more. By the way I just dont understand why Olsen twins want us to wear sandals with a coat for the cold cold winter. Any idea anyone? Nevermind. Here are my personal choices.

Arriba: dos colecciones increíbles que se merecen un collage por separado. Me fascinan los estampados de Proenza y sigo algo en shock con las gafas de terciopelo (creo) de A. Wang

Abajo: Una mezcla de los conjuntos que más me han gustado recién traidos de la pasarela neoyorkina. Los vestidos de Hervé L. son impresionantes, Vera Wang no pierde su encanto, me gustó bastante Jil Stuart... y las colecciones de las celebs fueron un poco bastante decepcionantes, así como Marc. Me esperaba algo más. Por cierto no entiendo muy bien por qué las Olsen pretenden que llevemos sandalias con abrigos de invierno, ¿alguna sugerencia/idea? XD Aquí os dejo mis looks elegidos.

She isn't one of my favourites models, but Sasha has done really cool editorials. Here is an example :P This one belongs to Interview's issue of this month. I love it, in fact the first pic is my wallpaper. We can see a lot of SS2010... Prada sunnies or the fabolous see-through Prada sandals -that I wouldnt wear myself but they actually look good in shoots- and those not so fabolous LV -that I wouldnt wear myself under any circunstance and no, they dont even look good in pictures Marc-. Oh and forgot to mention, great work by my beloved Craig Mcdean.

No es una de mis modelos favoritas, pero Sasha ha hecho editoriales muy chulas. He aquí un ejemplo :P Esta pertenece al número de este mes de Interview. La primera foto es mi fondo de pantalla de hecho. Podemos ver mucho de P-V 2010... Gafas de Prada o las fabulosas sandalias transparentes de Prada también -que yo no me pondría pero quedan bien en las fotos- y esos no tan fabulosos de LV -que yo no me pondría bajo ninguna circunstancia y no, no quedan bien ni en fotos Marc-. I was meant to write about this rising star some weeks ago, but I didnt find the time. Just found it :P, reasons why she is for me the model of the moment? Easy: in the very first week of the new year, this american teen -she was born in 92- already scored 2 Vogue Italy covers, Dior and Hermes campaigns. She has walked for the best designers the last season -52 or 56 shows if I remember well- and currently she appears in Vogue Korea February, Wintour loves her to jump around her editorials every now and then and she is walking haute couture shows. Ive already seen her in Dior, Gaultier and Armani but Im hoping to see her in so many more, not only fashion shows but magazines. Best luck to you little girl!

Hace un tiempo que pretendía escribir sobre Karlie pero nunca encontraba el momento. Ya tocaba :P Las razones por las que es mi modelo del momento son sencillas: en la primera semana de este año nuevo, esta teen del país de la coca cola -eeuu, 1992- ya había conseguido 2 portadas de Vogue Italia, y las campañas de Dior y Hermes. En la última temporada desfiló para los mejores diseñadores -52 o 56 desfiles si no recuerdo mal- y actualmente aparece en el número de Vogue Korea de este mes, Wintour la tiene dando saltitos en sus editoriales habitualmente y está desfilando en la alta costura. Ya la he visto en Dior, Gaultier y Armani pero espero sinceramente verla en muchos más, y no solo desfiles sino también revistas. Mucha suerte peque!

Chanel Loves Chanel... so do we!

I got a nice surprise in my mailbox this morning, an email from Chanel -la maisson, not the model- refering to the Haute Couture Show... which remainded me all the shows I havent seen yet, except a few images on the breaking news... anyway I do have a lot to watch! buuuut till then, Im happy with some backstage pictures that gives us an idea of the hair and make up at least. Having a quick look at then, I found out Chanel -the model- has a deep love for Chanel - la maisson- so does Lara Stone... so does everybody, really who doesnt? Whats the first thing you would buy if you had money enough for a 2.55? Id buy a 2.55 ofc... just not red but black.

Esta mañana tenía una agradable sorpresa en mi correo, un email de Chanel -de la casa, no la modelo- haciendo referencia a su desfile de alta costura... lo que me recuerda la cantidad de desfiles que me estoy perdiendo y no he tenido oportunidad de ver aún, quitando algunas imágenes (visto y no visto) de las noticias en la tele. Hasta entonces supongo que me conformo con ver algunas fotos del backstage, que a veces me gustan más que algunos shows y nos dan una vaga idea de como será el pelo o el maquillaje. Echándo un vistazo rápido me ha llamado la atención que Chanel -la modelo- adora a Chanel -la casa- y Lara Stone también... bueno y supongo que todo el mundo, en serio ¿quién no? Si tuvieras dinero suficiente para comprarte un 2.55, ¿Qué es lo primero que te comprarías? Yo un 2.55... pero no en rojo sino en nergo.

Models Streetstyle Vol. I

I thought I could do a new section to analyse how they dress. Im a little bit obsessed with streetstyle pictures, specially models ones because they are like fashion insiders, so they know how to do it and I just love them. Some of them have a very unique style like Sasha or Abbey that might not be easy for us to ~~copy~~ inspire ourselves, but most of them keep it simple and have an amazing sense of style like -and this is just my personal opinion- Hanne Gaby -I love when she gets a bit grunge- Natasha, Chanel, Magdalena, Frida, Karmen and a loooong etc. Some others were just born with a 6th sense -for fashion ofc- like Dree and everything they wear, whatever it is, suits them so well. However Id rather focus on the girls who can actually inspire us for casual looks to go to college or to hang out with friends anytime. Here are some example with the key pieces models usually wear. Easy to wear, easy to copy!

He pensado en hacer una sección para analizar como se visten. Estoy algo obsesionadilla con las fotos de streetstyle, especialmente las de modelos porque realmene ellas están dentro del mundo de la moda, tienen ese know-how, y me encantan. Algunas tiene un estilo muy único como Sasha o Abbey que no sería de lo mas sencillo para ~~copiárselo~~ inspirarnos, pero la mayoría son más sencillitas y tiene un sentido increíble de la moda como por ejemplo Hanne Gaby - me encanta con su toque grunge- Natasha, Chanel, Magdalena, Frida Karmen y un largo etc. Otras simplemente nacieron con sexto sentido -para la moda se entiende- como Dree y todo lo que se ponen les queda bien. Sin embargo prefería que nos centraramos en las chicas que realmente puden inspirarnos en looks más casuales para ir a la universidad o a tomar algo por ahí con unos amigos. Aquí os dejo algunos ejemplos con las piezas clave que ellas siempre suelen llevar. Fácil de llevar, fácil de copiar!... si la que no viste bien... es porque no quiere :P

Im Dazed and Confused! So is Magda! There are too many reasons to love this ed. Firstly, its nothing new how much I loved V&R's amaaaazing dresses this past season, Mrs Frackowiak is a stunner and this photoshoot is stuning! Just one picture, tomorrow the whole editorial, because Im dazed.. seriously I am, too much studying today. I feel like screaming actually... maybe tomorrow i should post some geek nerd pictures... totally suits me at the moment.

Estoy aturdida y confundida! Y Magda también! Hay muchas razones por las que adoro este edito. Primero, no es nada nuevo lo muchísimo que me encantaron los vestidos de V&R esta última temporada, la polaca es de las más espectaculares del momento y este reportaje no se queda atrás. Solo una foto, mañana prometo subir el edito completo porque estoy aturdida y cansada en serio.... que no paro de estudiar! Creo que mañana debería subir nerdy pictures... que me pega casi tanto como esta foto ahora mismo.

Before saying good-bye to 2009 I thought it was a good idea to do a little summary of the best -and worst- things of it. Of course Im not a fashion insider, just a fashion lover, so my opinion is far from profesional... but hey, my blog, my opinion :P jk.

Antes de decirle adios por completo al año que se va, pensé que sería buena idea recordar lo mejor -y lo peor- del 2009. Por supuesto que no soy una experta en materia, solo una apasionada de la moda y mi opinión está lejos de ser profesional... pero para algo es mi blog :P

These three have been the hardest choices. Lara isnt my fav model but its a fact she has been so many times in so many vogue issues, so many editorials -and so many runways -although her walk isnt the best- This cover was a political hit and stood out from others and beyond my love for Natasha, this Jil Sander's campaign caught my eye from the begining.

Éstas tres han sido las elecciones más díficiles. Lara no es mi modelo favorita pero es un hecho que ha aparecido muchísimas veces en muchos números de Vogue, en muchas editoriales y en muchos desfiles -aunque no sea la mejor en pasarela- La portada fué un toque de atención político y destacó entre otras y más allá de mi amor por mi querida rusa, esta campaña de Jil Sander me llamó la atención desde el principio.

Worst Moments:
Michael passed away but his influence on fashion will always remain. Too bad for Oliver Theyskens' lovers... but Nina Ricci thought it wasnt a good idea to renew his contract. And speaking of awful ideas, Estrella Arch had a terrible one aswell. You could see the disaster approaching to Ungaro.
Michael falleció pero su influencia en la moda perdurará por siempre. Malas noticias para las amantes de Oliver Theyskens ya que en Nina Ricci pensaron que no era buena idea renovar su contrato. Hablando de pésimas ideas, Estrella Arch también tuvo una muy mala. La diseñadora española no hace mucho honor a su nombre.... y el desastre era predecible en Ungaro.

Best Moments:
Alexander Mcqueen Spring Summer 2010 fashion show was memorable, even the models were scared of those shoes! Fashion's night out was a really big event aswell, because when Anna says help the recession, people obey. And more about Wintour at the movies... the real version of Devil Wears Prada was a must to see this year.
El desfile de primavera verano 2010 de Alexander Mcqueen fue memorable, hasta las modelos tenían miedo a esos zapatos. La noche de las compras también fue un gran evento porque cuando Anna pide ayuda para superar la crisis, la gente obecede. Y más sobre la Wintour en el cine, la versión real del Diablo Viste de Prada no se podía pasar por alto.

Maybe Im still shocked since that ed in Vogue Spain around the summer in which some naive and/or crazy person thought that dressing her as a modern Marilyn was a good idea... but then again, who in MUSE magazine thought that emulating Kate Moss and Johnny Depp in the 90's was a good idea?

¿Soy la única a la que no le gusta ver a Lindsay Lo en editoriales últimamente? The Angels are back!

Hell yeah! VS Angels are back in town, New York City this time! VSFS were the reasons Ive started getting into fashion and models, I used to think it was the most amazing show ever- then i found out Galliano, Lagerfeld and company could do it too but thats another story- now its the show I look forward to every year. The cool music, the models, the wings, that magical atmosphere only VS can create... Sadly we'll have to wait till 1st December to see it on CBS, but till then we have been blessed with this www thing and we can enjoy some pictures. My first impression of it: great band (Black Eyed Peas) but the show looked a bit like some MTV awards, the brazilians keep rocking it, im glad the sweedish -oh lovely Caroline W- is still on business, Chanel Iman is too thin for vs, happy because Julia didnt get wings again and I liked some of the new faces... oh and am i the only one who thinks that Heidi's time is gone? Here are over 50 pictures of all the segments of the show. Enjoy, took me a while! :D

Los desfiles de Victoria's Secret son la razón por la que comencé a interesarme por este de mundillo de las modelos, solía pensar que era el mejor show del mundo - entonces descubrí que Galliano, Lagerfeld y compañía hacían lo propio también, pero esa es otra historia- ahora es el desfile que más ganas tengo de ver cada año. La música, las modelos, las alas, esa atmósfera mágica que solo VS puede crear... por desgracia tendremos que esperar hasta el día uno de diciembre para verlo en CBS -o en youtube más bien- pero hasta entonces hemos sido bendecidos con esta cosa del internet y podemos ver algunas fotos. Mi primera impresión: genial la banda de este año (Black Eyed Peas) pero aquello parecía un poco una gala de MTV, las brasileñas siguen destacando, me alegro de que la sueca -adorabilísima Caroline W- siga en el business, Chanel Iman es muy delgada para vs, feliz porque no le han dado alas a Julia otra vez y me han gustado algunas de las caras nuevas... ah y deberían ir pensando en retirar a Heidi.
